The Storybook Fairies are the 25th series and represent the aspect of characters in stories, and are responsible for making sure their stories are fun to read. Stories and their characters will be dull, boring and wrong without the fairies' magic.

There are four Storybook Fairies and they are: Elle the Thumbelina Fairy, Rosalie the Rapunzel Fairy, Mariana the Goldilocks Fairy and Ruth the Red Riding Hood Fairy.

Rachel and Kirsty go to the Storytelling Festival for the weekend but are outraged to find out the stories being read have been altered and tainted with Jack Frost's troublesome work.

Jack Frost's poem

The fairies want stories to stay just the same

But I've planned a funny and mischevious game.

I'll change all their tales without futher ado,

By adding some tricks and a goblin or two!

The four magic stories will soon be improved

When everyhing soppy and sweet is removed.

Their daft happy endings are ruined and lost,

For no one's as clever as handsome Jack Frost!

The Fairies

Elle the Thumbelina Fairy

Elle, Thumbelina Fairy

The girls met Elle when she came to whisk them to Fairyland. She has crimped brown hair and wears a silver dress. Without her magic, the story of Thumbelina will be ruined.

Rosalie the Rapunzel Fairy

Rosalie appeared to the girls as they sat in the Story Barge, reading. She has a long blonde plait and wears a lavender dress. Without her magic, the story of Rapunzel will be ruined and Rapunzel will have blue hair.

Mariana the Goldilocks Fairy

The girls met up with Mariana when they knew Goldilocks and the Three Goblins wasn't right. She has short blonde hair and wears a blue apron with a white dress with red shoes. Without her magic, the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears will be vandalised with different characters.

Ruth the Red Riding Hood Fairy

Ruth, Red Riding Hood Fairy

Ruth came to the girls whilst they sat around a campfire telling stories. She has long brown hair and wears a white dress with a red hooded cloak. Without her magic, the story of Little Red Riding Hood will be ruined and replaced with Jack Frost and his goblins.

  • This set is similar to the Fairytale Fairies, since both sets of faries look after fairytales, except the Fairytale Fairies look after the book characters. The Storybook Fairies all wear dresses, like all the Fairytale Fairies (except Lacey).
  • This is the last UK series to have the traditional layout.
  • This is the first U.S. series to have 4 fairies.
  • All the fairies wear dresses.
Who is your favourite Storybook fairy?
