Rachel and Kirsty are reminiscing over the past week while doing their packing. They go to the village in Rainspell Island to hand in their entries for the Rainspell Crafts Week - Kirsty’s painting of Rachel, and Rachel’s story about the Rainbow Fairies, then head off to the baking workshop at the Sunshine Cake Shoppe. The workshop is being held by Artie’s husband Ben, who is joined by Poppy Fields, Polly Painterly, Madeleine Potts and Carys Silver. Everyone begins to make cakes and cookies for the Crafts Week finale but everything starts to go wrong, with spilled ingredients, measuring mistakes and just general mess. Roxie appears from under a mixing bowl just as the smell of burning starts wafting from the oven. Elsewhere in the cake shop, some boys have made a brilliant Rainspell Island-themed cake. Naturally, they turn out to be Goblins, and carry the cake to the beach to eat it themselves. The girls turn into fairies and watch the goblins gobble down the cake. Roxie’s magic cookie-cutter is stuck in the icing sugar and the fairies fly down to pull it out, but hide in a carved out cave section as the goblins grab chunks of the cake.

Rachel has an idea and the fairies fly out of the cake, and Roxie turns the girls into human size again. They go up to the goblins and ask for a bit of the cake. The goblins stop arguing over the cake and start arguing over who’s the most greediest, not noticing Roxie prising the cookie-cutter out of the cake. Unfortunately, life isn’t that simple and a goblin spots her. The goblins run away carrying the cake and hop into a dinghy, rowing out into the sea. Kirsty spots the seagull who helped them get Josie’s magic item back and asks Roxie to ask him to pluck the cookie-cutter out of the cake. As the goblins try to fight the seagull back, the seagull punctures the side of the boat, sinking it with the goblins, and the cake.

The girls decide they need to help, so Roxie magics up a boat, and they row it towards the goblin. The goblins give Roxie her cookie-cutter in exchange for their safety, and although the cake decorations are ruined, the goblins eat up the rest of their cake when they get to the shore. The girls run back to the workshop where delicious cakes and cookies have been baked. They start baking their own things, with Roxie giving tips. Once the workshop’s over, Roxie takes Rachel and Kirsty back to Fairyland, where their own Crafts Week exhibition is in full swing. The girls have fun looking around all the things the fairies have made, including Jack Frost, who gatecrashes the event with his own entries. However, the King and Queen announce Cherry the Cake Fairy and her cake as the winner. As Jack Frost flies into a tantrum, Rachel and Kirsty help him realise the point of doing crafts is having fun, and he leaves satisfied.

Roxie and the other fairies thank the girls for helping, and send them back to Rainspell Island where their parents are just arriving to the Crafts Week competition marquee. Artie announces the winner is Anuoluwa for her sandcastle cake, and awards joint second to Rachel and Kirsty, who get a jewellery-making kit. The girls smile at each other, reflecting on their magical week.
