Jack Frost's Poem[]

Rain clouds brew and ice winds blow

Seek out weddings high and low

Blemish all the snow-white dresses

And travel to the human land

Those fairy charms I bid you hide

To spoil the dreams of every bride!

The Silver Sixpence[]

Rachel and Kirsty, Mrs Tate, Kirsty’s cousin Esther and her mother Aunt Isabel are in Kenbury Village for dress fittings, since Rachel and Kirsty are going to be bridesmaids for Esther’s wedding. The girls try on their floaty pale blue dresses and while the shop owner Bella makes some alterations, they all talk about wedding traditions - that a bride should carry something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue, and a sixpence in her shoe up the aisle for good luck. The girls start looking through the wedding shop for the lucky charms and find a bridesmaid figurine which turns into a real fairy. Mia introduces herself and reassures the girls Jack Frost hasn’t done anything, she’s just here to sprinkle fairy dust on their dresses for good luck. However, the girls watch through the window a pending catastrophe involving a wedding party and a muddy puddle. Mia manages to stop it but is confused as to why using her magic tires her out. She asks the girls to come to Fairyland with her to see what’s wrong.

Mia takes them to the Wedding Workshop where she and her helpers work. But the workshop is deserted! The three fairies fly to the Throne Room and ask King Oberon and Queen Titania why the workshop is deserted. They go to the Seeing Pool and watch a vision of Jack Frost standing sulkily in the corner of a raving ball with fairies, Goblins, elves and all kinds of creatures in attendance. He orders his goblins to start a food fight and the King, Queen and Mia send him home, with him promising his revenge at some point. Queen Titania informs the fairies that Jack Frost did indeed steal Mia’s wedding charms. The girls agree to help Mia search for them, they find themselves back on Kenbury high street.

Mia senses her Silver Sixpence close by, and Rachel remembers how when she went on holiday to Kenbury once that it has the country’s oldest wishing well. The fairies fly to the wishing well to find a group of goblins crowding around it, as they’ve dropped it down. The fairies observe the goblins hold onto each other in a chain down the well, and Rachel asks Mia if she could magic up some fake sixpences in the well to confuse the goblins. As they fly down the well, the goblins frantically scrabble to find the sixpence, and Mia holds up a fake sixpence. As the goblins chase after her, Rachel and Kirsty dive underwater and find the real sixpence. As the goblins grab Mia’s sixpence, it disappears and Rachel flies over pretending to struggle carrying the sixpence. The situation descends into chaos, with the goblins ending up at the bottom of the well and Rachel and Mia flying up to meet Kirsty at the top, with the real sixpence. Mia thanks the girls and goes back to her Wedding Workshop with the sixpence, and the girls go back to the wedding shop.

The Golden Bells[]

Later on in the day, Rachel and Kirsty are admiring the jewellery in the jewellery shop and find a velvet pouch on the floor, with R&K embroidered onto it. Rachel opens it and Mia flutters out, explaining she thinks the goblins have taken her golden bells to a Caribbean island, since it’s a popular place for beach weddings and they wanted to bring bad luck. Kirsty gets Aunt Isabel’s permission to go off on their own, and Mia magics up a cloud carriage in the alleyway, to take them all the way to the Caribbean. She tells them the story of how King Oberon rescued a leprechaun from tricksy goblins, and the leprechaun gave him two lucky gold bells from his hat as thanks. King Oberon gave the bells to Mia to bring luck to all weddings.

The carriage drops the fairies off on a Caribbean beach to find a group of goblins playing beach volleyball. Rachel spots the golden bells hanging from the top of a palm tree. Just as the fairies fly up to grab then, the volleyball hits the tree, casting the bells into the air and bringing the goblins’ attention to them. The goblins throw sand at the fairies run away. Not all is lost for long, since the fairies hear the goblins splashing around in a waterfall. The golden bells are hanging from a branch on a high tree but this time there are two goblins sitting up there guarding them. The goblins inevitably start bickering and fall off the branch, landing on a lower one. As they’re climbing back up, the fairies fly up to the bells but the goblins swipe them away, causing all fairies and goblins to fall. They land in a pile of leaves, the golden bells lost among them.

The goblins and fairies can hear the bells tinkling so get up to grab them, but the goblins trip over rocks, meaning Mia touches the bells last - luck is on her side. Admitting defeat, the goblins run away and Mia retrieves her bells. A blue feather, probably from a passing-by tropical bird, floats down and Rachel and Kirsty decide this can be ‘something blue’ for Esther. Mia tucks the bells into her dress pocket and magics the girls back to Kenbury just as Esther comes out of the jewellery shop to ask them to help choose which earrings to buy. The girls decide on a pair of earrings in the shape of tiny golden bells.

The Moonshine Veil[]

The night before the wedding, the girls are getting ready for bed and take a look out the window at the bright moon. A shooting star starts shooting towards them and although understandably concerned at first, the star turns into Mia, who explains there is a lunar eclipse tonight, so the Moonshine Veil will be easier to find as there is no moonlight. Kirsty has a plan already - to magic up a picnic the goblins can’t to lure them out of their hiding place. Mia takes the girls to a field by the village and magics up a picnic. They spot goblins sneaking over and just as they touch the picnic, it disappears. As the fairies watch the goblins argue over whether to give them the veil or not, two undetected goblins throw a net over them and tie them up, running away. Mia has dropped her wand but luckily a fieldmouse comes and chews an opening in the rope. Mia magics up some nuts and berries to thank it and the fairies fly high into the air to spot the Moonshine Veil.

As the eclipse completes, the fairies can see one street still illuminated by moonlight, which means the Moonshine Veil is there. It leads them to the wedding shop, where the goblins are messing around and dressing up. Kirsty gets a sudden idea and asks Mia to make her voice sound like Jack Frost’s. Speaking loudly but hidden from the goblins, she scolds them for messing around, and tells them to put the veil on the ground, turn around and shut their eyes. As the fairies sneak out to grab it, Kirsty’s voice starts turning back to normal and the goblins spin around, leaping to tug the veil back. To avoid ripping it, the fairies let go, flinging the goblins back, and making them drop the veil. Mia grabs the veil over the fighting mess of goblins and the fairies leave through the letterbox.

Mia explains the veil is made out of moonlight, worn by the very first Queen of Fairyland on her wedding. Mia takes Rachel and Kirsty back to Fairyland to return the veil. She places it in its designated spot in the Wedding Workshop, alongside the sixpence and golden bells. As a thank-you, Mia magics anklets onto the girls ankles, with a sixpence charm for Rachel and golden bells charm for Kirsty. Queen Titania magics them away and they find themselves in their bedroom - it’s now morning. Esther enters and asks them if they found the lucky ‘somethings’, and the girls present them - Kirsty’s grandmother’s brooch as something old, Esther’s wedding dress as something new, Kirsty’s golden anklet as something borrowed, the blue feather as something blue, and Rachel’s sixpence anklet as the sixpence. Esther is delighted and the girls help her get ready for her wedding. The wedding goes smoothly and Esther thanks them for being such good bridesmaids.
