Is it okay if I can invite you to help me edit articles on other wikis I love? My favorite one is the Baby-Sitters Club Wiki. My beloved page there is BSC Graphic Novels. If you want, you can go on my page to see my other favorite wikis.
Hi there! I noticed that the series logos (the ones that say rainbow magic and have the fairy mascot sitting on top) always had a blue background. If you want them transparent and without the blue background I can try and do that for you. Unless you're fine with them the way they are in which case you can completely ignore this message and go about your day
I don't mind, although the transparent background (similar to what LexsJB did with the new logo) does look better than having a coloured background. If you do, let one of us know and we can put them in.
I'm just wondering out of curiosity really, how you feel about buying RM books. I was looking back at Christmastime where I went out to buy myself Susie the Sister Fairy as an actual paper book, and I went to the self service area because I was nervous of being judged as I'm actually a pretty self conscious person. Do you ever get weird looks when you buy fairy books? Do your parents mind you spending money on fairy books? Mine don't really know I still buy them because they're digital versions on my phone and iPad.
Just interested, sorry if I'm being a bit strange!
I never got weird looks when I buy them from Waterstones or WHSmith, although I do worry sometimes I'm a bit too old for them. I get asked by the check out person about how many I own. When I reply with 'over a hundred' they look at me in surprise. My mum lets me buy them since I'm still interested.
How do you get early access to upcoming books? I have to wait till the actual release date.
wow maybe people in your area are less judgmental than here. The last fairy book I asked my parents for was an annual, and even then I asked my mum to hide it under my pillow or something so my sister wouldn't know I still read them- she still teases me about reading them anyway.
On iBooks on Apple devices, sometimes the publishers will release a sample of the first chapter a few weeks before publication. It never reveals much story content, but it reveals the chapter titles which give quite a lot away.
I bought my first Rainbow Magic Book, Hannah the Happy Ever After Fairy last January 10 2016. During my first few days as a RM Reader, I actually read it anywhere at school.
I still have 21 Rainbow Magic Books (look at my Profile for the list of books I've owned!). When I buy a new RM Book at the bookstore, I've started to read onward while waiting for the food at the restaurant, walking at the mall or park, or riding back home, hehe. I do not feel weird when buying RM Books, and sometimes it has a time limit to choose a book that is suitable to my interests or not.
I remember that time when I always go to the nearest bookstore at the mall when one of the staff knew me. Sometimes, this woman looks at me while searching for RM Books. She doesn't know what's my secret.
Hi, hope you're doing well! I decided to go for it and create nav boxes for each series page. On Rainbow Fairies page, it's at the bottom. If there's anything that needs changing, feel free to change it or let me know. I'll probably work on the rest now but I'll probably need your help for filling in the information. (I was planning for each series, the navbox background colour goes up the colours of the rainbow)
Do you think you could change the colour of the nav box for the Rainbow fairies? Seeing red links on a red background and green 'collapse' buttons is making my eyes go weird. Sorry. Might help other visitors with sight issues as well.
if i add all 30-something navboxes to the girls' pages, it would be too long. I've made a trial run of the tabs at the top of the page for Bertram. what do you think? is adding all the navboxes to recurring characters' pages ott?
Kirsty's and Rachel's pages are already too long with info. I know people come on here to read info, but I think there needs to be more pictures balancing out the text. I saw Bertram's page and I think the word 'Profile' would better suit the first tab than the name.
i have made a header box template for the main page, where we can show featured pages, characters, and images. could you find some rgb colours (for the background and title header of the box) as i can't decide. thanks.
I'm a bit worried the front page will become the infoboxes, too much and it will be an issue. I was thinking including a link to the first series to the newer series (for example: "read about the very first series, the Rainbow Fairies" and "read about the newer series, Funfair Fairies"). And maybe have a link to the full list of fairies?
And maybe link to the Rules page, so newer signed in users know.
main page is now complete - when you change colours of wiki, i can change colour of header box to suit it. also, made buttons for the parents but i dont know if they're necessary, but they fill the space.
Hi! I’m just an average rainbow magic fan, and I got a few questions that I hope you can answer, is Rainbow Magic still an ongoing series? Were Rachel and Kirsty real people or both of them were just characters? Where was Rainbow Magic created? And Why can’t I read a specific Rainbow Magic Book in my country? This is a few but you can answer if you can, thanks!
Hi. Yes, Rainbow Magic is still on going, with Maria the Mother's Day Fairy coming out in February and the Fun Fair Fairies are out in March 2018 and the Baby Farm Animal Fairies out in the United States in May 2018.
Rachel and Kirsty are just fictional characters, although reading the author's interview on Amazon they state that Rachel and Kirsty were based off two of her good friends in real life.
Rainbow Magic was created in the UK, the first series being the rainbow fairies published in 2003, while the same series was published in the US in 2005.
As stated in our FAQs page, since Rainbow magic was made in the UK, some of the books aren't released in other countries or continents, only a few I know are the US, Spain and Germany. I don't know why most books are unavailable.
What a treat being woken up to such valuable edits made by this user. The mobile version of wikia is a bit messed up right now so I can't delete things with ease. Please could you get ri d of all the pictures the user has added, and also the categories they've added? Sorry!
Just to let you know I've made it so you can rollback edits. This means you can just undo the latest edit by clicking 'rollback' and it will undo it immediately. Hopefully it should be much quicker if something happens again.
Hi it is 2:45am :( as i write this. I've always been aware of different language RM books like swedish and japanese and german, but a couple of hours ago, I found the website that publishes the swedish version. here. It is a beautiful website with the publish dates too. combined with dodgy wifi, I've spent a really long time saving these beautiful (really high quality- the sharpest I've ever seen) book covers and putting them on the wiki. As well as the german covers PrincessRosalina put on the wiki ages ago, I made changes to Ruby the Red Fairy including the two covers and the different names. I don't want to keep pressure you into helping me add these covers to the pages, but if you do want to help (again, we don't have to rush. We did the publish dates and tabbers in one sitting but we don't have to this time) you could add the publishing dates and tabbers for some fairies. i've saved every cover as (UKfairyname)swedish.jpg, so it'll be much easier, (and for the german covers we might have to do some searching around) and also i made a swedish (Swe Flag) and german flag (Ger Flag) template (i'm too tired to find where to get the german publish dates) just in case. Feel free to do whatever you want to help. link to French Canadian amazon site for future reference
as for the other international RM books, I've found the wikipedia pages for the french and german series and there are others, but I'll find them another time. cheers
I guessed you wanted to add more to the Infoboxes. And I've seen the German covers before on a german site, I saw only the Rainbow and Weather Fairies. I'll do it at my own pace this time not rush.
Do you mean the Swedish and German dates on the series pages or individual? And glad that you already uploaded the images; took me a while to do the tabbers for a few fairies cos of finding the covers.
Idk where to find the German dates yet but the Swedish dates are for the series and special fairies. There is a Wikipedia page for the Swedish series where you can see all the fairies that have been published here
After adding 2 spanish covers and probably more, the infobox on Ruby's page looks really full and wide on my laptop but on my phone it looks fine since there's a new line of tabs. I don't know if there's a way for it to look like it does on my phone on the computer version if you get me. I might ask the commuity central wiki again but if you think it looks alright on the computer platform, I'll leave it
well I don't know where I'd put them. I could put the covers other than the UK and US ones in a gallery if it gets too busy but I've found french, turkish and spanish versions and there'll probably be some japanese ones somewhere. We'll see.
Hi. again, trying to make infoboxes better, I saw another thing on the anime wiki (it's popular all round many other wikis) where there are tabs to show different pictures. I did this to Holly the Christmas Fairy where there are different tabs to see the covers of the UK, US and Early Reader versions (this dude Tablewiz helped me out so that's why you might see the name on the wiki activity). If you like this idea, You probably want to help too so I'll tell you how to do it if you approve of it. It will definitely take a long time, having to go through 200+ pages doing it, so what do you think?
I just wanna be sure I get this correct before I do it: I copy and paste the text above into the source part, find the file names and put them into the brackets (file: (insert name) and remove the tabber at the bottom if there's no cover.
Is that right? I'll copy and paste it into a word document and insert from that cos it's easier for me.
