Rachel and Kirsty are cleaning up after breakfast when Mr Walker remarks how Rachel’s Aunt Lesley, who is staying with them while the renovation on her house is being done, didn’t join them for breakfast. She’s been nominated for the Tippington Helper of the Year Award for her work as a doctor. The girls bring breakfast up to her room to find her lounging in bed. Rachel and Kirsty think something’s wrong with her as she needs to be in the clinic soon. Martha the Doctor Fairy flies out of Aunt Lesley’s medical bag and informs them something’s gone wrong, and takes them to Fairyland to explain. Queen Titania takes them the Seeing Pool, where the three other Helping Fairies are. The Seeing Pool shows Jack Frost wanting to win the Tippington Helper Award. He orders four groups of Goblins to use each of the Helping Fairies’ objects, which he’s stolen already, to hijack the judging week. The girls agree to help and Martha magics them to Aunt Lesley’s surgery.

The girls make their way inside to find the waiting room full of people and the receptionist, Uma, working hard to organise things. She tells the girls how Rachel’s aunt hasn’t turned up to prepare for her talk, and the replacement doctor is giving dodgy advice. One man leaves the doctor’s room hopping on one foot, a cure for a cold. Martha turns the girls into fairies and they sneak into the doctor’s room, finding a goblin posing as a doctor, and a group of goblins in the corner messing around. After he tells the patient, Josh, to stand on his head three times a day to cure chickenpox, the fairies spot Martha’s watch in his coat pocket, and Rachel and Kirsty turn into humans again.

Rachel pretends to sneeze constantly and the goblin doctor tells her to stamp her feet and clap her hands. Martha flies under the goblin’s nose, spreading fairy dust, and he sneezes. Kirsty suggests he stamps and claps too, making the watch jump in and out of his pocket. It’s not working though but Rachel has an idea after listening to Josh’s consultation. Martha makes rainbow-coloured spots appear on the goblin’s face and Kirsty reminds him the cure for chickenpox. He stands on his head and the watch falls out of his pocket. Before the other goblins can catch it, Rachel grabs it and gives it back to Martha. She makes the chickenpox disappear and the goblin doctor is disappointed in his failure as a doctor. Martha magics him up a doctor’s sticker and all the goblins leave. She magics the girls a ‘Doctor’s Helper’ sticker, and thanks the girls, disappearing back to Fairyland. When the girls leave the doctor’s room, they see the waiting room is cleared and Uma tells them Aunt Lesley’s on her way. They watch Aunt Lesley do her talk in front of a crowd of people, and everyone claps at the end. Josh’s mum comes up to her to ask for the real cure for chickenpox. Rachel and Kirsty asks Aunt Lesley if they can meet the other nominees, and she agrees.
