Jack Frost's Poem[]
It's Valentine's Day and love is everywhere,
But I, Jack Frost, feel it isn't fair.
Friends and families and sweethearts, too,
I've got a mean surprise for you.
This day is no longer nice.
If you celebrate, you will pay the price.
Giving cards and gifts is a big mistake,
Those things will cause your hearts to break.

Card-making Mishap[]
Kirsty is waiting excitedly for Rachel to arrive so they can attend a Valentine’s Workshop. She finally arrives late, so Kirsty whisks her off to Wetherbury village hall, racing each other on their bikes. The organiser, Mr Brown, signs them in and they get to making cards for their parents. Weirdly, the other kids at the workshop are arguing and squabbling. At the perfect moment, the girls see a fairy in their jar of glitter, it’s Juliet. She is in tears and explains what’s happened - Jack Frost and his Goblins stole her Valentine’s Day objects as she stepped out her cottage for a moment. Although the girls are keen to start looking, Juliet advises them to just keep a look out for goblins.
As the girls continue making their cards, they find themselves disagreeing on things too, they realise what’s happening to them and stop. Kirsty asks to find more decorations, so she and Rachel leave the classroom to look through the storage cupboard, but two goblins burst out of it and run away, with Juliet spotting her card in one of them’s arms. She tidies the cupboard up, and Rachel and Kirsty runs out the village hall, but the goblins are nowhere to be seen. Juliet casts a spell on a map of Wetherbury to show the goblins have run to the Playhouse Theatre. The girls enter to see the goblins who are convinced their card isn’t the real card because it doesn’t have a ribbon on it. Juliet finds the ribbon in a row of chairs and Rachel dresses Kirsty’s card in the ribbon to make it look like the magic card.
Rachel loudly tells Kirsty she’s found the magic card, and the goblins use their wand to summon the fake card to them. She pretends to be alarmed, but the goblins throw Juliet’s card to her and run off. Juliet leaves happily, and although Kirsty is sad her card is gone, she’s happy they managed to help Juliet.
The Red Rose Romp[]
Kirsty wakes up early on Valentine’s Day morning to make a new card. Rachel wakes up and gets ready while Kirsty presents her card to her parents. Once she’s done, Rachel joins her to find Mr and Mrs Tate sitting at the table coldly. Kirsty hastily leaves, explaining they were having an argument but Rachel reassures her it’s because of Jack Frost’s magic. They ride into town, deciding to look in the florist’s for clues. They come across a man who asks for a red rose, but there aren’t any in stock. He explains to the florist that black roses were delivered to his sweetheart along with a mixed up message, so now she thinks he doesn’t love her. The florist says the greenhouse growing the roses isn’t replying, so the girls decide to go to Greenhouse Gardens to investigate.
Kirsty leads Rachel as they cycle to the garden centre, where the letters of the welcome sign is mixed up. Kirsty rides ahead and asks the workers what’s up with the red roses. The gardeners explain they’ve been growing plenty, but no one’s been ordering them, apart from the group of kids who just bought all the cut roses. Kirsty realises they must be goblins, so goes back to Rachel who has found Juliet. Rachel explains Juliet’s sad that Valentine’s Day isn’t going well, and friends aren’t working together, which Kirsty interprets as a petty jab at the fact she rode ahead of Rachel. She apologises, however.
They continue the search, and eventually see some goblins dressed as farmers wheeling wagons of red roses along the hill. Rachel’s bike suddenly speeds down the hill and crashes into the goblins, scattering roses everywhere. The girls offer to help clear it up, and Kirsty finds the magical rose among them, and hands it to Rachel, who gives it to Juliet, who leaves for Fairyland. The goblins allow Kirsty to take a rose for herself, and the two friends cycle back to the florist’s to give let them know about the roses, and to give the sad man a rose.
The Chocolate Heart Compromise[]
It’s now the afternoon and the girls are watching all the happy couples and families roam the village square. They enter the florist’s and tell the florist, Lily, about the red roses. She places an order and thanks the girls for letting her know. Then, Rachel spots the sad man and takes the rose from Kirsty, and goes up on her own to present it to him. He’s overjoyed, but Kirsty’s hurt she went off without her. Juliet appears and hides under Kirsty’s scarf, and Rachel comes back, oblivious to her selfishness.
While Rachel’s going to the loo, Kirsty sees something and writes a note for her and Juliet when they come back. When they return to find Kirsty gone, Rachel reads out the note but it’s scrambled up. The two deduce that Kirsty saw the goblins and ran to hide, but the goblins mixed up her note with their wand. Before they can do anything, a Valentine’s Day show in the village square begins, and a group of school children walk on stage, along with seven goblins dressed as Cupid. As the goblins dance, they disrupt the whole show, bumping into the other children.
Backstage, Rachel and Juliet have found Kirsty about to look through bags of boxes of chocolate hearts, when the goblin Cupids exit the stage and Kirsty runs off to join the other two. The goblins are about to search through the bags too when a school teacher tells them to hand them out to the audience. The girls trail the goblins, hoping to spot Juliet’s magic box of chocolates, when Kirsty spots one goblin running away. She calls out to him for his help, and weirdly, he stops to see what she wants. Kirsty asks him for the magic chocolate box, which says ‘Best Friends’, and explains having that box would remind her and her best friend about their best friendship. The goblin bursts into tears, as his friends have been fighting too and HE wants the ‘Best Friends’ box as well. Juliet magics up six heart-shaped boxes of chocolate for the goblin to give to his friends. He’s happy, and Juliet’s happy. She gets her chocolate box back, thanks them and returns to Fairyland. The girls watch the seven goblins eat their chocolate, and two heart-shaped boxes appear next to them on the bench. It’s a gift from Juliet, heart-shaped lockets to say thank you.
