Jack Frost's Poem[]

Don't throw books - don't shout or run.

Librarians are not much fun!

I'm fed up with the silly fools,

And I don't care about their rules.

I'm Jack Frost! The boss! The star!

I'm worth much more than bookworms are.

With Jude's magic in my hand,

Her boring rules will soon be banned!

The Lucky Library Stamp[]

Kirsty wakes Rachel up by jumping on her bed. They get dressed and have breakfast before going to Wetherbury Village's brand new library, which they helped to fundraise. While walking around, they meet Alana Yarn and as they go to select a book, Kirsty sees an orange book glowing. Rachel picks it up and it opens with Jude the Librarian Fairy flying out. She explains her job and hides in Rachel's pocket, before the three hear a crash. They find three children causing havoc and try to get them to stop. Jude tries to use a spell on them but her magic is weak. The three children are goblins and one of them says Jude's objects have a new owner. Rachel deduces Jack Frost has stolen them and Jude takes the girls to the Fairyland library.

Jude finds her objects are indeed missing from their drawer and outlines each object's job, before Lydia the Reading Fairy appears. Lydia explains Jack Frost turned up asking for a book; when she went to get it, she was pushed into a cupboard. Jude adds she saw him the day prior making noise and dropping litter and told him to stop. Kirsty says he was having his own back by stealing the magic objects. Jude takes the girls to the City Library and they start looking, eventually finding the goblin sitting on top of a bookcase. They chase him, going downstairs into the basement, where the goblin bumps into old books and sneezes because of the dust. The magic library stamp falls out of his pocket and Rachel gives it to Jude, who sends the goblin back home. The three then decide to take the library stamp back to the Fairyland library before going to Jack Frost's Ice Castle.

The Radiant Reading Glasses[]

After putting the lucky library stamp back inside the drawer in the Fairyland library, Jude and the girls fly to the Ice Castle, where they find two goblins arguing beside the moat. Jude disguises them as pixies in water inspector uniforms and they ask what the goblins are doing. They admit Jack Frost had asked them to hide a tin box but they want each other to hide it in the moat instead. Kirsty asks what’s inside the box and the scuba goblin says Jude's objects are inside. Jack Frost stomps over and asks what’s going on. The fairies try to reason with him but he refuses to listen, snatches the box and shoves the goblins into the moat, before taking himself to Wetherbury library. The girls help the goblins out of the moat and Jude takes them all back to the library. There, they find Jack Frost has taken over as librarian and acts rude to customers.

Rachel comes up with an idea to remove the radiant reading glasses, with Jude disguising the girls hair and asking Jack Frost questions. Alana Yarn comes up; Jack Frost asks who she is and she says she’s an author. He decides he doesn't want to be a librarian anymore and wants to be an author instead, sitting in the chair where Alana is going to do her reading. Rachel asks Jude to magic up an identical pair of glasses for a swap. Jack Frost doesn't notice and walks away, while Jude takes the real glasses back to the Fairyland library. The other librarian appears with a box and Rachel asks if she found the medals. The librarian said the cupboard was empty until she opened it again and the box appeared like magic, and the girls smile.

The Brilliant Bookmark[]

The librarian presents the children, including Rachel and Kirsty, with medals as rewards for a reading challenge. As Rachel opens her box, sparkles puff out and both girls hide inside a cupboard; Rachel opens her box again and Jude flutters out, who says Jack Frost gave her bookmark to a goblin and sent him to the library. Jude turns the girls into fairies and they find the goblin running in an aisle with the bookmark. Rachel approaches him and the goblin runs off outside into the village, entering the museum, and the fairies enter through a hole in the roof. After turning the lights off so the goblin cannot harm the museum’s rare books, the fairies chase the goblin all the way into the woods, where Kirsty sees the goblin attached to a tree. The fairies convince him about the wonder of books and libraries and he climbs down. He pulls a face at them and runs off again. As the fairies chase him, he hurts his ankle. Kirsty suggests that Martha the Doctor Fairy treat him and, turning the girls back into humans, Jude goes to Fairyland to get her while the girls help the goblin to a chair in the library and Kirsty reads a book to take his mind off his ankle.

Martha and Jude appear from underneath the chair and, after checking his ankle, Martha wants to bring the goblin back to her surgery. He refuses to go unless he hears the end of the book and he complains about the noise; Rachel says the noise won’t stop until he gives Jude her brilliant bookmark. The goblin does so and the noise stops. The book ends, and Martha and the goblin return to Fairyland, while Jude thanks the girls and says her goodbye before disappearing. The librarian announces Alana Yarn and the girls hurry; Kirsty wonders when they'll go to Fairyland next and Rachel replies that human libraries are magical.
