Fairy Profile from the Official RM Facebook Page[]

Poppy's Fairy Magic is a burst of pink sparkles and tiny black and white piano keys that make beautiful music. She loves to play all kinds of music, from Boogie Woogie to Classical, and everything in between. Poppy likes to provide a musical soundtrack to whatever is going on around her. She might play big, crashing chords to enhance a thunderstorm, or tickle the high notes in accompaniment to a butterfly going past. When goblins come to pester the Fairies, Poppy plays silly tunes that make them seem even more clumsy than usual.

Rachel and Kirsty are singing along with the radio in Kirsty’s room when they hear an announcement for a music contest at the end of the week, taking place at a mall not far from Wetherbury. Both girls decide they want to go. When the next song comes on, the melody abruptly changes and they hear a new voice from the speaker, calling their names and explaining she’s Poppy the Piano Fairy and the girls need to come to Fairyland right away, as Goblins are invading the music school there. The girls use their magical lockets and are soon at the music school, where Poppy leads them upstairs to the practice room where seven magical instruments are kept. Inside, they find seven goblins, one with an ice wand, surrounding the magical instruments. Before Poppy and the girls can do anything, the goblin with the ice wand shrinks the magical instruments and each goblin takes one, running to an open window where Jack Frost awaits. He creates an ice slide for the goblins and himself to escape, pointing his own wand at the girls and Poppy when they try to follow. They duck, but instead of ice small pieces of paper fill the room. As Jack Frost slides out of reach and the slide starts to melt above him, he chants a spell about goblins blending in. Kirsty notices the end of the slide appears to point to the bandstand at Wetherbury Park, while Rachel examines one of the pieces of paper and finds it’s an advertisement for “Frosty and his Gobolicious Band” appearing in the contest the girls heard about. If they win (and they would with the magic instruments’ help), humans are likely to find out about fairies.

Poppy introduces the other six Music Fairies, who have just arrived, to the girls before bringing Rachel and Kirsty straight to Wetherbury Park. They see someone goblin-sized in the mismatched clothes disguised goblins seem to prefer, but his skin isn’t green. Moving on to search High Street, the girls begin to notice the effects of the magical instruments being missing. Everything musical they hear is jarringly off-key, except for a piano melody coming from the music store which must be Poppy’s piano. Peeking through the windows, the girls see the same strangely dressed boy from before playing the piano (which is now full sized) and realize he is a goblin - Jack Frost’s spell must have changed the goblins’ skin colour. Rachel has an idea, and asks Poppy to give her pointy ears and a goblin nose before they go inside; Kirsty hiding behind some speakers. Rachel is able to convince the goblin at the piano that she’s a goblin too, and she tells him Jack Frost wants him to be the lead singer in the Gobolicious Band, and he’s right by those speakers. As soon as the goblin gets near Kirsty, she ties him up with a microphone cord while Poppy sends her piano back to Fairyland. Sulkily, the goblin untangles himself and leaves the store as Poppy thanks the girls and goes back to Fairyland herself.
